LayerZero Teams Up with Conflux to Expand into China
The LayerZero Omnichain protocol has formed a partnership with Conflux to utilize the blockchain-based SIM cards (BSIM) developed by the startup and China Telecom.
This collaboration will allow owners of BSIM to easily transfer assets and messages across different networks using LayerZero technology.
In February, Conflux, a blockchain developer based in Singapore, announced a joint project with China Telecom.
As part of this partnership, they plan to launch a BSIM pilot in Hong Kong and expand it to mainland China by the end of the year.
These revolutionary SIM cards enable users to securely store private keys on their mobile devices.
According to Brian Pellegrino, CEO of LayerZero Labs, the integration of Conflux will help the project expand its presence in the Asia-Pacific region.
He also expects to attract customers from China Telecom’s vast user base of 390 million through the use of BSIM technology.
