B2C2 Acquires Market Maker Woorton
B2C2, a cryptocurrency over-the-counter (OTC) platform, has acquired French market maker Woorton for an undisclosed amount as it seeks to expand into the European market.
Thomas Restout, the head of the EMEA region for B2C2, noted shared values, risk frameworks and operating practices between the two companies, both of which have experience with the traditional financial market as well as an emphasis on cryptocurrencies and digital assets.
Woorton, founded in 2017, is a licensed cryptocurrency service provider in France and services over 250 clients.
Additionally, the platform offers twenty-four-hour liquidity.
November of last year saw Nicola White take over as the new CEO of B2C2, having previously held high-ranking positions at Morgan Stanley and Citadel Securities. White was also in charge of the US division of B2C2 in 2021.
