Romania to Launch a National NFT Marketplace
The Romanian National Institute for Informatics Research and Development is set to launch a government-backed NFT platform to encourage Web3 adoption in the country.
The ICI D|Services platform, which will be launched on April 26, will feature five exclusive NFT collections.
The initiative seeks to strengthen the connection between private and public establishments and their users.
The NFT marketplace will allow users to generate, issue, and trade non-fungible tokens. It is created in collaboration with the blockchain project MultiversX (formerly Elrond Network).
Paul Niculescu-Mizil Gheorghe, coordinator of the blockchain laboratory of the Romanian National Institute, has declared that the project is supported by the government.
