ECB Vice President Luis de Guindos stated on Friday that it is unlikely the European Central Bank will resume providing insight into their future policy decisions due to the current uncertain outlook.

He continued, saying that this approach will likely be maintained for several months while they await the effects of their measures on inflation, which is expected to decrease but still remains at a relatively high level.

He said:

“I believe that the current approach will be maintained for a few months until the evolution of inflation and the effects of our measures become clearer.”
