Ethereum Developers Will Implement Shapella Hard Fork on April 12

The Ethereum team has announced April 12 (epoch 620.9536) as the date of the Shanghai-Capella (Shapella) hard fork on the mainnet.

This update includes the implementation of EIP-4895, which will make it possible for users to withdraw funds from staking.

Additionally, several optimizations to gas costs are planned.

The Shapella hard fork was previously tested on the Goerli and Sepolia testnets. The main purpose of the update is to enable ETH withdrawal from staking.
