Gate.io Releases a Visa Cryptocurrency Card

Gate Group, the parent organization of cryptocurrency exchange Gate.io, has announced the launch of a Visa-branded cryptocurrency debit card for customers in Europe.

According to the press release, the waitlist and registration process is now open. Visa’s Head of Cryptocurrency Cuy Sheffield has stated that the company’s aim is to act as a bridge between the digital asset ecosystem, merchants and financial institutions around the world.

Sheffield has further commented that Gate Group debit cardholders will be able to easily convert and use their digital assets to purchase goods and services anywhere Visa is accepted.

The product will be released through the Lithuanian branch of Gate Global UAB. This follows the introduction of crypto cards by various other trading platforms, such as Blockchain.com, Huobi, Bybit and BitOasis.
