Electric Car Maker Tesla Stopped Selling BTC in Q4 2022
Electric car manufacturer Tesla reported in February 2021 that it had acquired $1.5 billion in Bitcoins, entering the list of largest digital currency holders.
However, in the middle of last year, the Elon Musk-owned company admitted having sold up to 75% of its crypto holdings, earning $936 million. In spite of this, the firm has not sold the rest of BTC it owns, which means it has probably decided to adhere to its hodling strategy.
The company currently has about $245 million in Bitcoins, according to the financial statements for the fourth quarter of 2022 submitted to the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
