Coinbase Offers its Users to Convert USDT to USDC

Crypto exchange Coinbase has launched a campaign aimed at retail customers to convert Tether (USDT) to the “reliable and trustworthy stablecoin” USD Coin (USDC) at no fees.

The corresponding option can be found in both the desktop and mobile versions of the platform.

According to the announcement:

“The events of the past few weeks have put some stable coins to the test. We have witnessed a flight to quality.”

There have recently been short-term deviations in the USDT peg to the US amid the market downturn.

Exchange representatives have stressed that stability and trust are of paramount importance for clients nowadays.
