Dubai Regulator Launches New Crypto Advertising Rules

The Dubai Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA) has recently published new rules governing the advertising and promotion of cryptocurrencies, local newspaper Khaleej Times has reported.

According to the document, marketing campaigns must not guarantee revenue or mislead the audience in any other way.

The VARA requires the accuracy of facts in order to protect investors in the digital asset market. The measures apply to all types of advertising aimed at customers from Dubai.

The regulation is supplemented by high penalties for non-compliance with marketing rules in the emirate.
