Multicoin Capital to Launch a $430 Million Cryptocurrency Venture Fund
Crypto investment firm Multicoin Capital has recently announced it has created the a $430M venture fund.
The company has reported that it will use the structure to support projects with the potential to “change mass consumer markets.”
The company intends to focus the new fund on investments in solutions that “incentivize people to do verifiable work that creates real infrastructure.”
An example of this kind of project may be decentralized wireless network Helium and the blockchain mapping service Hivemapper.
The latter encourages users to provide car recorders to create navigation maps. The Solana blockchain-based application raised $18M in April in a funding round which was led by Multicoin.
