Landing Platform Celsius Changes its Lawyers to Advise on Company’s Restructuring
Landing platform Celsius has recently hired new lawyers to advise on possible restructuring options, The Wall Street Journal has learned.
According to the magazine, the company is currently cooperating with Kirkland & Ellis LLP.
Now, the firm’s lawyers will advise Celsius on several issues, including filing for bankruptcy.
The platform has previously discussed the restructuring with specialists from Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld. At the same time, the initial goal was to attract capital from investors.
It was later reported that the company has hired financial conglomerate Citigroup to find a solution to the problems that arose after the freezing of clients’ assets.
The company’s existing investors agree to the restructuring, however, they are not willing to make additional investments in the project.
