Crypto Lending Platform BlockFi Suffers Client Data Leak

Crypto lending platform BlockFi has reported a leak of user data hosted in HubSpot’s CRM. According to the company, some hackers have gained access to the names, email addresses and phone numbers of the company’s customers.

According to the announcement:

“HubSpot has confirmed that an unauthorized third party has gained access to certain BlockFi customer data hosted on their platform.”

BlockFi became aware of the leak on Friday. The company has emphasized the passwords and documents of the clients were not compromised, and their funds are safe.

HubSpot and BlockFi are currently investigating the incident and the affected users will be sent separate notices.

BlockFi has also advised customers to practice digital hygiene, set up two-factor authentication, set up a list of trusted apps and be vigilant against scammers.
