NFT Project Bored Ape Yacht Club Donates $1M to Ukraine

The Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) NFT project team has announced it has donated more than $1 million in Ethereum to Ukraine.

According to Etherscan, 388,999 ETH has been sent to the official wallet of the country’s government. At the current exchange rate, the value of the donation amounts to $1.062 million.

The project ha reported they were inspired to take this step by the community, which had previously collected a similar amount to support the country.

Bored Ape Yacht Club ranks second in the ranking of NFT collections in terms of trading volume on OpenSea, just behind CryptoPunks.

Some of the collectors of BAYC tokens include Eminem or Justin Bieber.
