Mining Pool BTC.com Suspends Registrations of Russian Users
Mining pool BTC.com suspended the registration of new users from Russia on March 5, 2022, and also restricted access to the service for persons from this region coinciding with the war in Ukraine.
Now, when a Russian IP address tries to connect to the pool, BTC.com issues the following notification:
“Your region does not support the BTC.com service. If you are located or your company was established/registered in mainland China or Russia, or if you are a citizen/resident of these countries, you are prohibited from accessing our services.”
Users with other IP addresses are asked to confirm they are not citizens of the sanctioned countries, including Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria and Russia.
BTC.com accounts for 6.5% of the total hashrate of the leading crypto.
