Hillary Clinton Criticizes Crypto Exchanges for Helping Russians Avoid Sanctions
Former US presidential candidate Hillary Clinton has said in an interview with MSNBC that she is “disappointed” that some crypto exchanges are still serving Russian citizens.
According to her, this is not the reaction she expected after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. She has stated:
“I was disappointed to see some of the so-called crypto exchanges refusing to end transactions with Russia.”
She has added the economic activity of Russian must be isolated right now by any means and has also urged Western players to prevent Russia from using cryptos to evade sanctions.
Several exchanges, including Coinbase, Binance and Kraken, no longer block all Russian users arguing there is no legal basis for doing so.
