eBay Plans to Start Working with Cryptos
Online retailer eBay intends to launch the possibility to accept digital currencies in the near future, the company CEO Jamie Iannone has said in an interview with The Street.
Rumors about eBay’s plans to accept crypto payments first appeared back in 2019. At the same time, some publications reported the company could even issue its own token.
However, company representatives denied the reports. Now, eBay’s CEO has confirmed the company’s commitment to innovation and digital currencies.
The official statement will be published approximately by March 10 on the eve of the conference with the participation of investors. The option to support crypto payments is a necessary step due to the fact that the number of users who are ready to purchase goods for virtual coins is increasing.
