NFTs Are More Popular Than Cryptocurrencies: Google Trends
According to analytical platform Google Trends, users search for information about NFTs more often than about cryptocurrencies. However, Bitcoin remains the leader in search terms.
The increase in the number of searches with the word “NFT” shows an increase in user interest in collectible tokens. This is facilitated by the entry into the NFT sphere of such popular companies as Nike and Adidas, as well as the release of their collectible tokens by musician Snoop Dogg.
However, for now, Bitcoin remains the leader in search queries. Neither cryptos nor NFTs were able to match Bitcoin in terms of the number of requests. With the exception of one country, Japan is more likely to find information about NFTs. Among these three searches, NFT accounts for 52%, while Bitcoin accounts for 32%.
User quite often look for information about collectible tokens in South Korea, but Bitcoin still wins with a result of 45% versus 39%.
FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried has previously said the role of NFT as a virtual accompaniment to multiple products, games and other things will increase.
