EVE Online Alliance Tournament XVII Introduces NFT Collectible Kills
EVE Online, a compelling, community-driven sci-fi MMO game from CCP Games where players can build and pilot a wide variety of spaceships, has just announced it will introduce NFT collectible kills during the Alliance Tournament XVII.
According to the press release shared by the company, CCP Game has decided to use the Tezos blockchain to mint Kill Certificate NFTs, which users can trade and collect.
In the EVE Alliance Tournament, whose first event was held in 2005, teams will compete for more than just bragging rights. They can actually win Kill Certificate NFTs to memorialize their participation in the seventeenth EVE Online Alliance Tournament.
In addition, there will also be 280 limited-edition ships which are exclusive to the winners of the Alliance Tournament.
As stated above, CCP Games has decided to use the Tezos blockchain for its innovation and sustainability thanks to its low-consumption proof-of-stake network consensus algorithm. This allows Tezos to operate cleanly, with minimal energy consumption and a negligible carbon footprint.
