Ethereum Price Hits Record High Above $4,400
On Friday, October 29, the price of the second largest crypto by capitalization has renewed its all-time high, exceeding the $4,400 mark.
Over the past 24 hours, the asset has risen by 8.2%, according to CoinGecko. At press time, ETH is trading at $4,325, while its market cap stands at $512.6 billion
On October 27, Ethereum 2.0 developer Preston Wanlong announced a successful upgrade of the Beacon Chain called Altair.
In late September, his colleague Danny Ryan said “the update will provide basic consensus support for light clients, clarify incentive accounting in the network, fix some problems with validator rewards and adjust the level of penalties in accordance with EIP-2982.”
The coin set the previous record in May, when it reached $4,350.
