Fox Corporation Leads $100M Investment Round in Blockchain Startup Eluvio

US media company Fox Corporation has led the $100 million Series A funding round in blockchain platform provider Eluvio.

According to the investment deal, which has not been disclosed, Eluvio will provide the underlying technology for Blockchain Creative Labs, a recently launched NFT joint venture between Fox Entertainment and Bento Box Entertainment. Fox Corporation CTO Paul Cheesbrough will join the startup’s board of directors.

The first project on the platform will be the upcoming animated series “Crapopolis” from the creator of “Rick and Morty” Dan Harmon.

Eluvio was founded in 2019 by Michelle Munson and Serban Simu.

The company plans to launch a marketplace for the production and sale of digital goods for the animated series Crapopolis, including NFTs with unique characters, backgrounds and gifs.
