FTX CEO is Optimistic on NFTs’ Future
Sam Bankman-Fried, CEO of crypto derivatives platform FTX, has said in an interview with CNBC he is optimistic and cautious about the future for the development of non-fungible tokens (NFTs).
He has warned investors about the potential impact of a volatile market with a lack of industry awareness. According to him, NFT adoption is happening faster than other crypto segments. He said:
“This can lead to incredibly fast and huge adoption. To be honest, it can also lead to unpleasant consequences in the event of a crash.”
He has also said that people have made a lot of money selling NFTs because it “was one way to get into the game.” In the first 6 months of the year, the sales of non-fungible tokens hit $2.5 billion.
