Portuguese Xiaomi Reseller Adds Support for Cryptos
Mi Store Portugal, an official Xiaomi reseller in Portugal, has just announced it now accepts cryptocurrencies as a means of payment for goods and services.
According to the company, users can now use Bitcoin, Ethereum, Tether, Dash and the token of the payment service provider Utrust, among others.
Curiously, the tweet in which the announcement was made has been deleted.
Cointelegraph has saved a screenshot of it that can be seen above.
This new feature is the result of the cooperation between the company and Utrust.
Pedro Maia, Marketing Director of Mi Store Portugal, said:
“We always want to be one step ahead. To enable all true high-tech fans to buy their favorite gadgets for what is currently the most technologically advanced money.”
Crypto journalist Colun Wu has explained that the reseller is not affiliated with Xiaomi in any way, it is just an official reseller that is allowed to sell the company’s products.
