Today we have learned that WisdomTree has filed an application with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to launch an Ethereum-base (ETF). This is the second company to do so, since VanEck applied for its own ETH ETF at the beginning of the month. However, the news has not been reflected on the price of the cryptocurrency in question, which shows a 8.8% decline over the past day to $2,598.15.

One of the main news of the day is about another DeFi project being attached by a hacker. This time the victim has been BurgerSwap, which has seen how a hacker has stolen more than $7 million using a flash loans attack.

As we know, retail investors tend to be more active during the weekend, so we cannot rule out the possibility of starting next week with BTC above $40,000 again. However, this is something that no one can know.
